If you haven't seen it yet, Blackberry announced it's new tablet, the PlayBook.

1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 16 or 32GB models, 3mp camera on front, 5mp on back, 1080p HD, HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 7" screen. Does NOT work with wireless service unless you tether your existing Blackberry to it.

THANKFULLY not as freaking huge as an iPad.

It's a nice looking device, I must say. Impressive, especially for Blackberry.

It has WiFi but no wireless service? 🤨

Also, way to advertise the competition. To counter, I bring you THIS:

Competition? Engadget caters more toward the rumor crowd than Phonescoop does.

Besides, if I were truly concerned with advertising some other site I would have written about it on my blog and posted a link to it here. Luckily, I'm not that self-serving.

And again, for whatever reason, Blackberry designed this to link up with a Blackberry phone for wireless, though this would work just fine with a MiFi or Android hotspot.
