We charge NO ACTIVATION FEE on pre-paid and I'm an authorized agent for Verizon. We charge for the phone...and that's it during the $50 promotion. For instance...

Nokia 6015 IPP is $99.95 + tax. No other fees unless the customer wants to buy a prepaid card to keep for when they use the first $50 credit or it expires in 60 days.

my two cents...🙂

If somebody balks we will waive it but we have to charge it on most activations because Verizon doesnt pay us very much at all for prepaids, if we only make what Verizon pays us than its not really worth it for us to sell prepaids at all.

I run a constant ad on eBay to do free $1 activations but I can only do Florida numbers, however you are welcome to change your area code (by calling VZW) once you add your first card and make your first phone call. So you are really getting it activate for only $1, heck I dont even care about the dollar if anybody is interested.

WE don't charge anuthing at our location either. I would just call around in your area and try to find an agent, or possibly radio shack( don't know if they charge or not)

RadioShack only charges a fee if you don't buy the phone from us.
