Have a BB Bold 9000 with AT&T. It's been buggy off and on for quite some time despite being the 3rd one I've swapped out.

Looking to switch to Verizon. Really reluctant to go without a physical keypad because I fire off ~1000 texts per month, but I might consider it (enough people have said that they can live without it). I like to surf the web and check sports scores. I don't really need a video or MP3 player capability.

Which phone is best for me considering texting, battery life (doubt any will be great), ease of use and reliability?

Droid 2, Droid Incredible, Fascinate.

You didn't mention the Droid X but if you go with no physical keyboard that would be my choice. I've pretty much used them all. Incredible is a little small for a lot of texting and battery life isn't too great. Fascinate is okay but I recently went back to the Droid X from the Fascinate and am really happy being back with the X. Something as simple as typing even seems to much better.

If you want a physical keyboard you probably couldn't go wrong with the Droid 2, or the Droid Pro like someone else stated.
