So I CAN Upgrade My Phone 4 months before the end of my contract? Bear?
I'm aware that this is NOT NE2, and do not care. I'm currently on a 1-yr contract, am looking to sign another 1-yr conract, and am happy to get a new phone at the 1-yr contract price. 🙂
Went into my local VZW store, they looked it up on the computer. Turns out I can upgrade my phone 2 months before the end of my ORIGINAL contract end date. 🙂
This is good news, as I had changed to AC2 in February, thus pushing back my contract end date a good long while. It's nice that VZW doesn't penalize your phone upgrades when you switch plans.
Why do you suppose verizon does not change the phone upgrade date when you change to a new plan?
Because you just did a year contract to switch to a new promotion offered plan, and in most situations, you will be able to upgrade your phone 9 months later, or 7 with the 2 months early deal, so 7 months later in that year contract you just did for the new plan, they will get you under another contract when you only have 5 months left of the year contract you just did.
I suppose with cell phones, contracts is going to be the dirty word of them, they all want you under a contract, just ask the people that are not under contracts, they get contacted to upgrade phones, or if there are new plans, or whatever ...

As a verizon agent in the midwest we can upgrade a customers phone as long as they had it for one year.In other words upgrade phone after one year as long as you sign another two year agreement.
The guy that started this thread was on a 1 year agreement...so this doesn't apply to him..
Not that I'm complaining. 🙂

No, the end date of the contract changes, not your upgrade date 🙄
Correct, at least according to my local VZW corp store.
Thus, I'll be upgrading this summer. Yay! 🙂
