Pay close attention to CES (Consumer Electronics Show), it takes place just under a month from now. Verizon will be showcasing lots of LTE capable tablets & smartphones.

I am registered but I don't think I will be able to go this year.

There are always ways around the industry requirement. You can get business cards made and voila you are in the industry.

Now you are too late to register for free this year but for next year.

If I don't go perhaps we can work out something.

Hell, it's bad enough that the LTE network (or at least the hand-off from LTE to EV-DO) is half-baked. Let them get their *Bleep* together with these phones at least. I think they should wait until July or so to ensure that the phones function properly. If people aren't complaining about the slowness of the LTE phones being launched...they'll be complaining about problems the phones have. I say that it is best to err on the side of caution.

I don't know. Rather odd that they didn't announce this issue prior to selling the LTE devices. Obviously, someone was using the devices in just such a way. Riding in the backseat while being chauffeured, riding a commuter train (I got plenty of THOSE calls. "My data card drops link..." Uh-huh. Looking at the big white spot in the midst of the map took I'm looking at. I wonder why?
