Want to get away from BB, X or Droid 2?
I have been using BB for years and it is great for work, but would like to have a little more fun with my phone. My company is Beta testing the Travelers app so we can use the Droid phones. My question is which one do I get. While most sales reps push X or Fascinate, I have to do a lot of typing of emails (long emails) and I am afraid that typing on just touch screen would grow tiresome. In my little exposure to just the touch screens I hit the wrong key 50% of the time and my messages look like my 1 year old typed it. So knowing my phone is mainly for work but also for killing time in airports and on the crapper, which phone should I get?

Which one is actually the best phone? I travel all around and found some of my early BB's were great PDA's and bad phones. I need the best of both worlds.

It sounds like you would be better suited to the Droid 2 or the Droid Pro. I like my Fascinate and love my wife's Droid X, but keying out anything more than 200 characters is painful at best- at least for my fingers.
On the other hand, I find sliders annoying. I don't want to have to "engage" the keyboard before I start using it...
While I do consider the Droid X to be the best Android out there for Verizon overall, you should seriously consider the Droid Pro before laying down your money.

I love my Droid X, and it seems to be hard to beat. Also used the Fascinate and prefer the Droid X. With that said, as someone else stated, the Droid 2 or Droid Pro may be better suited for you if you want a keyboard. If you're already used to a Blackberry keyboard then the Droid Pro keyboard is pretty much identical and would be an awesome choice.

It just makes the most sense.

Sounds like the Droid Pro is the phone for you. You are used to BB, the feel is the same, but instead of that ball or optical mouse you have the larger touch screen option. A great keyboard that I feel is better than BB as well. Add to that the fun of the Android operating system and all of you needs are met! 😁

And it makes toast, too!
