had actually come from Verizon? THEN I would say people could be upset because VERIZON claimed it would be released and didn't follow thru. I don't care who claims when Verizon will release a phone, if it isn't Verizon, it has zero validity.
And that's the way it is.

For the same reason that everyone expects that dialling 611 will get them to their company's customer care even when they're roaming on another network, or that any 800 number that's vaguely associated with the company they want to interact with will connect them to the right department... π
