cingular- verizon picture messaging
can cingular and verizon customers send each other pix messages? Verizon cutomer service says no, but phonescoop had an article up in april saying that the 2 companies ahd reached a deal..... any help would be great!

We do have inter-carrier picture messaging with Cingular. Not always guaranteed to work, of course, but it is possible now! 😉 We can also send pix messages to US Cellular.

I was unaware of US Cellular working as well. Too bad I've never heard of anyone having it.

You dont know of anyone having US Cellular because USCC is to busy at restricting how their customers can use their phones, so not many people sign up with them. I have them to compliment my verizon phone, but, unless they change more, I will probably shut them off at end of contract...

Yes, you definitely send pics back and forth between carriers. I have both services. Out of boredom i tried them. It takes longer than usual but it goes through.

Yeah I have sent picture messages to my friend who has verizon and sometimes he would either get the message and couldn't open up the pic or not receive the message at all. I guess it is a 50/50 chance thing. 😕
