Some dumb 4G LTE questions.

So I experienced the ATT data slow down in a highly populated area yesterday. What agitates me even further is in an suburb I can get speeds of 5KBps, goto a major city drops down to 1KBps. 👿

So I've used Sprint's Wi-Max in the past and didn't like it. Poor in building coverage, drains your battery, have to turn the 4G radio on/off.

So I was wondering if VZW's LTE will be plagued by the same things, or will VZW's 4G devices have an always on connection (unlike Wi-Max), will it be easier on your battery (unlike Wi-Max)?

I don't think anyone will have answers to those questions until handsets hit the open market and get reviewed. I'm thinking the mobile hotspots will be available before the handsets, and at that point some definitive battery testing will be possible, but with the only thing out being USB dongles right now, no one really knows.
