Regarding: Bluetooth functionality and the Motorola V710
Dear Sirs:
Ok, I understand (now) why Verizon disabled the movement of data (ringtones, mp3s, photos). You (Verizon) figured out a way for the customer to pay for these transfers. Smart, slimy business for not telling the customer upfront and then outright lying saying the problem would be fixed with an update sometime in November of 2004, but smart.
What I really wanted my phone to let me do was synchronize my contacts and calendar. I could care less about the camera and mp3 player, I...

But after hearing Verizon's CEO basically telling us to "quite whining, it's a wireless device", I don't think the company's in the right mindset to help us out. Hey! Denny! My contract's over in December, you lout!

So now I understand. Thatβs fine. Most customers will not even know what you (Verizon) did to the phone or why. But, I do, and I signed a two year contract to purchase this very expensive phone.
"Please let me out of the contract. Verizon misrepresented the phone when it was released then lied about updates to fix the data transfer. "
You can transfer files with the phone via bluetooth once you upgrade the software. You have to take the phone to the store and have the phone flashed to the new software version.

second, you state that you've contributed to the class action lawsuit against the company that you're asking a courtesy credit from. "SURE! lets go ahead and credit that early term fee for you!" π pleeeeeaase.
YOU signed the contract, YOU had 15 days to try the phone. that's all. this subject has been beaten to death again and again.
this lawsuit will go nowhere, i'm sorry you wasted a few stamps sending these letters to Denny and Kirtland & Packard- the attention deprived law firm. and sorry we will not credit you for the stamps either.
p.s. don't exagerate how long you've been with us, its not like denny can't figure that out...

You sir are wrong...Verizon wireless does nothing but treasure their customers
They don't need to 'treasure their customers'.. There is more profit in the cancellation fees... If you read the posts here.. Verizon looses cash on every customer..
NOT.....

I really dislike ignorant people!!!! What i dont understand is why no one knows that you can take your V710 into a direct store and get the software updated to have the full capabilities of the Bluetooth. Also any new purchases of the V710 has the new software update.
since when? i have reecently upgraded to a 710. it was almost amonth ago. does my phone have full bluetoof capabilities?
I'm sure we all remember one poster here in particular who said day after day (after day...) that Cingular was going to own all, and Verizon had 'had it'... until last quarter's results came in and gave him (and Big Orange) quite a wake-up call. If you're waiting for Verizon to get 'blown away', be sure to get comfortable, because you're going to be waiting an awfully long time.
The thing that's important to me is phone selection and the features on those phones. I use bluetooth constantly throughout the day - to hot-...
