New Samsungs
This morning I noticed a new sku for my radio shack store. It was a samsung A570 I have not seen it on this website. Does anyone have an idea of what type of phone it could be. Full RS price is 229.99 meaning 2 yr is 29.99. There is also another samsung on the way I think it is the 690 or something similar to that number.

I wonder whether any of these new phones will be trimode, or will new trimode phones be a thing of the past for Verizon, other than on a couple of very basic phones?

If the Phonescoop specs are reliable, all four of the recently-released PTT phones for Verizon are tri-mode. As are the 'coming soon' LG VX-3300 and Audiovox 8615. Plus many of the rumored Nokias (3155, 6235i, 6255i, etc.).
So, it doesn't seem like VZW is turning its back on tri-mode any time soon. Why should they? Analog isn't slated to go away until early 2008, and even that could be pushed back if the FCC mandate changes.
