Thinking of buying the 3g model outright and doing away with my netbook so i can pay less for the duration of my contract. Any thoughts?

There's some sense to that, though you might have to change your plan to get it to work. I tried to upgrade a net book to a Xoom today, needed to change the plan.

This makes no sence. The plans are the same from what i understand. But i guess thats the whole point though. Im paying 50 now and id rather pay 20 or 35.

Sometimes there are alternate vesions of a plan with the same monthly cost. You should be ok with the plan you're on now. If you had something really old, maybe not.

nah, i just got it maybe five months ago because i wanted a cheap laptop. I guess i could wait till my annual upgrade and get a discount. Although i really dont see much of a break if i wait.
