Phone analog capable
My NE2 is due in July so I have begun my search for a new phone. With my new job I travel quite a bit to areas with little service. I travel with co workers that have tri mode phones and they have no trouble making calls or receiving calls. So if there is anything new coming that is analog capable please share. I don't care about all the bells and whistles just need a phone that gets good reception, durable, and reliable. Thanks.

Hmm... the only tri-mode (digital/analog) phones I know of that are coming are the LG VX-3300, Nokia 3155, and *maybe* Nokia 6235i or 6255i (CDMA phones, but still not clear that Verizon is getting either).
I think there's also an updated version of the Audiovox 8600 (the 8615) thats coming also that might be trimode, but as Audiovoxes tend to suck, you may not be too interested in that one.

The LG 4650 is about to come out within the next month, it is the same as the 4700 (PTT) but with out the walkie talkie, it is Tri Mode too, That is what I would pick personally

Coolness. WFine, since you seem to have a good radar for new phone releases, do you have a rough estimate when the Samsung A570 and Nokia 3155 are coming?
Best intel I have is 2nd qtr for the Sammy and 3rd qtr for the Nokia. Also anything you know about a possible Nokia 6235i or 6255i release for VZW would be appreciated.

I have no ide on thaose other phones I think the 6255i is probably coming this summer (if at all) the only reason I know about the 4650 is because they have oficially told us it is coming soon, no official date as of yet but it is definatly coming in the next month, I would expect it in about 2 weeks
