Opinion of Best Phone...
I am currently with Verizon, and if all goes well, I will be renewing my contract this fall.
I need some input on the phones that Verizon carries. Can anyone give me some input on the best phone to get. I basically need a tri-mode flip (or clamshell) with a good battery, good phonebook and features, and the absolute BEST speakerphone that I can get. Camera is not a priority...
Any suggestions or personal experiences?

As of now the 6100 fits the bill but wait because there will be many more phones out before then

I agree about the speaker phone, however I just plain out dont like it, I have had SO many returned that I stopped carring them in my store about a month ago

For what you are requesting i would recommend mot v710. It is tri mode and hands down has the best speakerphone of any of the vzw phones.

Agreed. Don't let the bad reviews about the people whinning about not being able to connect to their laptops. The v710 has very good reception and very loud speaker phone. All and all it's a great phone

not to be picky but you state that the v710 has the best speakerphone out of all vzw phones and i will have to disagree. Yes, it has the best speakerphone out of our current lineup but not out of all phones. I would have to say that the moto timeport 270c has the best speakerphone

You could go with the Motorola v60s. Moto's been building it for so long they've worked out the kinks, and MAN does it have a great speakerphone.

Try the lg 4650, it should be out sometime next month, basically the same as the 4700 just without the PTT

From what I have read the new E815 which is the newer version of the V710 should be a good phone and an improvement to the V710.

Well, it depends on what else you want to do with the phone, if you want to go with the absolute basic phone but with a good speaker. get a Moto V60, those phones have great speakers but are really basic. If you want to go with something a bit more higher end. go with the Moto V710, they also have great speakers and better sound resolution. along with a slew of other features to boot, including bluetooth (only for use with PDA's and Handsfree devices) 1.2 Megapixel Camera, Video Camera, and an MP3 player. Unfortunately, the Motos in the middle (e.g. v260 and v265) are kinda weak. As for the LG's and Samsung's... I don't have too much experience with them to give you some valid advice.
