Blackberry Playbook Launch Party - Dallas
Anyone else going to the Blackberry Playbook Launch Party tonight in Dallas? This is one of the first of many events around the country so I don't know what this means for an actual launch date (I know that question would have been asked).
If you are in the industry let me know and I can shoot you the link for the RSVP. Gotta show up with company credentials so no civies allowed. Sorry folks.
...
I'll be going to the DC event.
...
So what would I need a Verizon name badge? I could swing that... 😁
...
Haha.
What city are you loacted? Send me a PM and I will send you the link to RSVP and register.
The sort of glanced at my business card. They certainly did not scrutinize it at all.
To report:
The playbook is a pretty cool looking device. Much smaller and lighter weight than the standard tablets on the market now. Dual Core processor and wifi only at this point. I brought my 4G hotspot but they must have locked down the wifi menu as I could not find it to change to my device.
Screen looks good playing an HD movie. Bluetooth tether options were pretty sweet with another blackberry phone. Now if only Blackberry had a decent phone that might be a sweet pair to sell.

enjoy the playbook 🙂 i was thinking of getting one.

A decent phone or a decent phone for Verizon? What about the Torch? Is it any good?
...
I have the Torch; its good.
...
Will (iselltheshitoutofphones) carries the Torch I believe. I have played with it and I am not impressed. He has never raved about it that I have seen so I am unsure there is ANY RIM phone that blows up my skirt.
...
Was a little disappointed that they are billing it as a 7 inch tablet, but has a HUGE black border, almost a frame...
...
Yeah it was a bit small to be called 7 inches. I guess that is how canadiens measure up.
