New Razor
Nope....if u read the news articale the phone isn't expected until end of this year or begining or middle of 2006

The few people that I know who own a Razor (through Cingular) complain vehemently about the reception (or lack thereof). Is this a problem that will be corrected for the CDMA version?

im not sure i know the phone is going to be a little thicker because their improving the camera to a 1 megapixle

dear lord, i hope we don't get this. actually i'd be suprised if we did since the 710 series is the same exact phone but better. Mot spent more time with the 710 and also have changed out the chips to the startac programming i believe that improved the reception of it. with the 840 and the newer version of the 710 with EV-DO in it i doubt the Razr will have any demand except the wow factor which hearing from cing. customers and reps/managers the phone sucks and has way too many problems.

Sadly, the initial version of the handset will not contain A-GPS and therefore will not be viable for the US market, with its E911 requirements.

The Razr is OVERRATED...its reception does suck. Im an Cingular rep, and have had many complaints on that phone...battery life and reception are horrid. Now to not leave an open opportunity......its not the service....I had a Motorola MPX200, and had horrible reception.....switched to a Nokia 3100 GSM...works AWESOME!!!

lol...I hate how its spelled....trying to make it hip-sounding. Its too bad the phone apparently sucks....its nice up fdront, and im sure it makes a diff on the area...im in Sacramento....and have excellent coverage. Just seems Moto put too much emphasis on looks and style, than functionality.

i have great service out of mine, it's actually the first motorola i haven't had to send back for a warranty issue.

According to Motorola, the RAZR is the same phone as the old V600, except with a thin case and better monitor.

I have to respectfully disagree with your post. I have the RAZR and the battery life on my phone is the best of any phone I have ever had. And the signal on my RAZR far outperforms my Nokia 6230.

IS NOT ACTUALLY THE GSM VERSION OR THE CDMA VERSION OF THE RAZOR.. THERE IS TWO SIMPLE ANSWERS TO THIS QUESTION 1... CDMA CAN RECEIVE BETTER SIGNAL THAN GSM 2...THE BETTER SERVICE VERIZON OFFERS IN COMPARE TO CINGULAR 🙄 🙄 🙂
