Resurrect Voice Gear?

Is there any thoughts of bringing back Voice Gear? I know that VZW is late getting into the Bluetooth/Car arena with hardware but another area they are lacking is voice recognition dialing. Cingular and Sprint both offer voice independent dialing service which will permit owners of many Bluetooth equipped cars(Toyota,Lexus,GM,etc.) to use voice dialing. Even though the phone may support voice tags these are not accessible over Bluetooth.

You can still have that feature, I did. It is strictly a voice address book now, no additional features like weather, driving directions, etc.

4.99/mo (but I am not sure if this is only offered as a grandfathered feature, or if they allow new subscibers)

Anyways, if you want the additional features that VoiceGear (now VoiceDialing) offered such as weather dial 1-800-555-TELL, I think the same exact software was in place before on VZW.

Cheers 😉

Even though the future looks brighter with some of the new product coming I still am not sure I will come back from Cingular without the Voice Gear capabilities. I live in an area where cell phone use while dr...

Again in my experience the voice commands work fine with ear piece so I don't see why it wouldn't for the car ... the Mini Van I bonded the 710 with worked fine with the voice commands. But yeah boo for verizon on crippled blurtooth.... 😛
