It depends on your time frame. If you need something now, the Thunderbolt is your only option. If you can wait till who knows when for the Bionic, it wouldn't be a bad choice.

Otherwise, the phone fits the user. I'm not swayed to Moto for a dual-core processor (I have one on my Xoom anyway, and it doesn't make the thing amazingly better, in my opinion). When the Thunderbolt came out, I snagged one. I had the Incredible before that. I prefer the feel and format of the HTC Android phones, so I'll stick with them until I have a compelling reason otherwise.

The Bionic has been sent back to Research and Development by Motorola leadership.

Odds are that it's going to undergo a significant redesign before it launches anywhere.

That basically means that all the device specs thrown out at CES are completely useless and unreliable. They may go to a different processor, they may downgrade the qHD screen resolution back to 480 x 854- any number of things could change.

The Droid Bionic doesn't exist anymore. When it does launch, it will not be the beast we saw earlier this year. It might be improved, it might be cheaper, but it will not be the same.

So, I nor anyone else can really answer that question honestly. If you want to wait and see, wait and see. If not, get yourself a T-bolt.
