need 2 new phones NE2
Here's my concern. We have the old AC, and 2 lines. I'm now eligible for NE2, for the primary. If I want to buy a new phone for by husband's line (the secondary), am I going to pay the promotional price for it, or will VZW treat me really unfair and charge full retail? It would seem to me that since I won't be able to do this without signing 2 new contracts for each line, I should get the promo price for the second phone. Of course, I'm not nuts about signing new contracts either, but I don't see any way around that. The plan we have now has way more minutes than we use, and there is no plan with less minutes. A new contract will be an increased monthly cost for us, no matter what.
TIA

If you dont renew your contracts you have to pay full retail, if you want to take advantage of the NE2 you have to renew the contract also to get it

I thought if I bought new phones, I was forced to renew the contract? Can I buy new phones, but not sign a new contract?
If I do sign new contracts is the second phone priced at promo or retail?

1). When you upgrade with verizon, you're promo price is simply the contract price, for whatever contract you're signing up on. So when you upgrade either your primary, or your secondary line you'll be paying just the contract price.
2). You NE2 deducts 100.00$ from the promo price. So if 2 year promo price - 100.00$ is less than zero, the phone's free.
So no, they are not going to charge you full retail price when you upgrade your secondary line. And as to the rate plan, while I'm no Verizon CSR, you should be able to upgrade your equipment without changing your service plan--you'll only lock yourself into another agreement with the former service plan.
