Reminder, Free Calling all day Monday, Memorial Day.
Just in case someone doesn't know, all day monday, memorial day, all calls during the day will be free and not count as your minutes. if you call 611 for customer service you'll hear an announcement for this. I just wanted to post this as a courtesy for everyone, enjoy the holiday weekend! 🙂

I know I'm splitting hairs here, but this actually becomes an issue at every major holiday, and then it drives calls from customers disputing their bills a few weeks later.
Calls on Memorial Day are not free.
They are rated as off-peak.
Off-peak means the same thing as night and weekend minutes.
So, yes, for most customers, the calls are effectively free.
But if your plan doesn't have unlimited night and weekend minutes, your Memorial Day calls will draw from your package of off-peak minutes.
And we still have a fair number of customers who don't have night and weekend minutes at all. The best example is those who are still on the most recent version of National Singlerate. These plans had no off-peak m...

well put Bear. I always call 611 on holidays to see if I will be using my offpeak minutes, but for those that dont have unlimited off peak minutes could be easily confused. I know some companies make that part of the plan when they sell the plans, I think us cellular does that, you get unlimited night, weekend, and holiday minutes, not sure, but I think they do that. I hope verizon keeps doing it and eventually just makes it part of the plans.
