I was curious if anyone else has run into this funny scenario. I had a customer purchase 4 lg3200's from me and come in the next day and slam his phone on the table and scream this piece of (fill in the blank) you sold me will not charge, in front of 5 other customers of course. I told him i was sorry to here that and I would get it switched out. He then said i would neeed to switch all 4 of them becaSUE THEy are all having the same problem. He then stated he wanted a different brand and couldn't believe i tried to tell him lg is a good product. i obviously thought something was a little out of place, i had a hard time believing all 4 phones had bad charging ports. I asked the customer to demonstrate how he was charging the phones and he fli...

I get at least one or two people a week that have this problem. Its funny when they yell at you then feel really stupid when you tell them what they are doing wrong, especially when other people are in the store and laugh when they leave. I feel bad when a customer is really nice about their phone not working. Then you have to make them feel dumb and explain that it happens all the time without sounding sarcastic, all the while trying not to laugh.

Yeah that guy acted extremely nice after I showed hime what he was doing, I am sure he felt stupid, especially in front of all the other customers in our store. I am usually as nice as i can be to people when they do something stupid, bud that guy was ranting like a maniac so it felt great to point out his ignorance.

Yes I too have had customers with this same 'issue' but in all fairness, if the sales person had taken the extra time to show them where the charger goes and where the headset goes then the customer would not have a problem. I personally avoid selling that phone anyway. But on the occasion that a customer wants that phone I take the extra step to show them the little picture of the headset on the side of the phone.

A sales person should show the customer where to plug the charger and such, but a customer should read the instruction manual before storming into a store.

Anytime I try something and it doesn't work, I read the information I got before I go into a store, or call a service line.

A lot of people just can't do anything for themselves anymore.

Cell phones have been around for a long time now. I'm all for customer service and showing a customer how to use their equipment. However, when you buy a car the salesman isn't showing you where to put gas or where your oil dipstick is. Some people are just plain idiots and thats all there is to it.

well put, i've even shown customers which side to charge it on and they still come in the store screaming. but with most customers they are getting so much info at once they aren't going to pay attention to where you need to charge it.

In all fairness the salesperson did take the extra time to demonstrate were to plug the charger as well as many other features of the phone! Unfortunetly people don't catch everything becasue it is a lot of info. So get of your high horse. I was simply putting a story on here I t...

Yep, had this happen quite a few times. I agree people are idiots and most are too lazy to read their manual. As for the salesperson explaining that to them that is what the manual is for. Do you need to tell them how to hold the phone to their ear and talk too?

yeah it happens all the time with this phone....if you just take the extra two seconds to remind them where it plugs into they don't have this problem.....once you start mentioning it to them tehy will stop coming back in cause there "phone isn't working" silly as it sounds its just one extra thing that makes all the difference
