I currently own the VX-8000... I was looking at the kyocera SoHo Kx1. Now to me compared to the VX-8000 its a crappier phone. Now if im currently on a plan and just recently recieved my 8000 and i just wanted to buy the phone and not have to worry about plan costs and stuff and then just go home and activate the phone as i please from the verizon wireless website...How or would i be able to do that? Thanks 😎

I am not sure what you are asking for sure, but, I think you are asking how to activate your 8000 at home.

If that is what you are asking, then there are 2 ways, one of course is to call in and do it over the phone. The other choice is to goto verizonwireless.com and login on your account, you will need to create your account if you have not done so already, if you have already done that, when you login, there will be a feature called activate phone, click on that and it will walk you thru the process. I take it as you own a vx8000 and you want to buy a kyocera and activate it? Youcan go ahead and buy the soho since you already a verizon customer. You can then activate it at home but only on your line. If you want to open a new line up then you will probably have to do all of that at once. I hope that one of has answered your question

Do you realize if you do that it will not be 40$ but more like 190$ with no contract? I would find something cheaper on ebay or just insure your phone.

That phone feels like a piece of trash in your hand. Even with the anti-theft cable attached it weighs nothing. Maybe that's what people want, but to me it just didn't feel right.
