You know it amazes me how many people dont know that. The walk up to me and ask me why i think verizon is so good beucse they cant a get a signal. I ask them have you *228 your phone and they say whats that? As soon as I show them how to do it they come back a week later thanking me. For example I was at wedding eveyone had no signal becuse verizon added serivce like a month ago. I endend up flashing phone lol. I wish verizon would send a txt message once a month everytime there update until then.

They do send you a reminder, it's called the bill. When you get your bill, or email reminder, update your prl. The carrier only makes updates every few months though.

It's free though, so just take the 58 seconds and do it every now and then.

Option 1 programs your phone number into your phone as well. I've been told you can confuse the system if you do option 1 if all you need is 2. I haven't seen it happen, but I wouldn't chance it.

*22890 is more convenient as it chooses Option 1 or 2 automatically for you...

*22899 is to reprogram the data-side of your phone (in case Get-It-Now isn't working, this usually helps)...
