😳 First I heard about new rate plans going into effect. Why do I get the feeling in the pit of my stomach that they are not going to be lowering the price.........

😲 I had heard they may be offering the 7 PM as an additional cost option, but I also heard they may be changing the base plans. Since I am just out of my contract and have not yet signed a new contract I have been wondering if I should hurry up and sign up before they raise the rates. 😕

I wouldnt think they would raise the rates. They still have to keep competitive with the other players, mainly cingular.

Now, cingular did raise the share talk lines to $15 a month, so, those could be going up.

Who knows, it is all a guessing game right now. I am happy if they just offer the 7PM as an additional charge. I dont know what to tell you, but, it is a gamble. I can say one thing, if you resign now, and the prices go down, you can change at that time, you have to do a contract extension, but, you just did one now, so that wouldnt matter to much. so, on the safe side, I would go for it now, rates go down, a phone call later can change the rates then, and we all know that the rates are not going to go down.... 🤣

7pm n/w isn't happening.

from what i know, the only plans that are actually changing are the data plans (ie: they're bundling unlimited pda/blackberry with calling plans to save people money)

well, that is to bad, I know of 4 lines that will shut down if it dont happen, and I know of around 40 other drivers that will do the same when their contracts are up. Looks like we may be going back to the old carrier, they used to have us, then everyone went to verizon, kind of funny, 6 years later, we may be going back to original carrier. 😕

Hey, dont worry about your rate plan going up if you dont hurry and resign a contract. They wont just change your plan to the new ones. You can basically stay on the one you have now far as long as you like. We just grandfather the plans as new ones come out and keep them in our database for those still using those promotions.
New rate plans just mean new options, not take-over rates. If you are out of contract, you just go month-to-month on the price plan you currently have. Out of contract just means that you don't have to pay a penalty for cancelling, that's all!
Hope this helps quell some concerns.

Sorry but no changes have been made and if we did know something we can't tell you. Only thing that has changed and will change is proration charging on accts. And i look forward to helping some of you guys out in the future so when you decide to upgrade to a better server for those who aren't on VZW just stop on by. As for 7pm n/w thats a rumor that has been going around since the whole thing was introduced. VZW has no need to do it since VZW on its own still has 44mil customers and is doing quite well. other providers do it to sweeten up the deal so they can lock you in a contract for crappy service. Only time i can see VZW doing it when they finished pushing to industry to its limits and there's nothing new to introduce into the mar...
