VZW and fully functional Bluetooth - any hope?

Been a VZW customer for 8 years. Unlike most on this board, very few issues (great or terrible) to report. I pay them, my phones work well. They have the best network coverage in my local area, and more than acceptable when travelling in the US & Mexico. Ready to upgrade hardware (and calling plan if applicable) for myself and wife, still would like to stay w/ VZW.
However, I use Bluetooth heavily both for work and home use, mostly email/contacts/file stuff with MS Activesync & Exchange Server. Assumed that VZW would be competative in this arena. But, I have been watching the firestorm over the Moto 710, and would appreciate your opinions:

Will VZW ever offer a handset with FULLY FUNTIONAL Bluetooth?

not pretending to know a whole lot about bluetooth, but as far as i know...obviously, most of the BT capabilities are disabled on the phone. I think the main idea is that this is a phone, and the wireless headset is the only BT capability they want out. As far as everything it will do or the work-arounds for it, there are some AWESOME guys in the tech support that know waaaaayyyy more than most people could ever hope to know about BT.

just kinda frustrated....we all know VZW made a business decision and the choice can't please everybody. Still it bites that I even have to consider switching carriers just to find the functionality I personally deem most valuable. Such is life, as always.
