I'm a little behind the times...What exactly is EV-DO?

I don't mean to keep bugging you guys but what is EV-DO? Does it have something to do with VCAST?

EV DO=Evolution Data Only...essentially a high speed cellular data network that is leaps and bounds ahead of what's come before.

Yea, high speed wireless data/internet. Averaging around 500 kbps (about ten times faster than home dialup) and available to about 120 million people in the USA right now, which is a lot more than any other high-speed wireless data service currently.

And yes, VCast is related. VCast is a multimedia content service that takes advantage of EV-DO's fast speeds to offer high-quality streaming video, etc.
