Just got Verizonwireless......a bit perplexed....
I posted earlier(switching from Cingular to Verizon, in Los Angeles area) and maybe I had some false or unrealistic expectations.
Phone(Vx8100) is pretty cool but the reception is a lot worse than Cingular. My 1st call..very 1st call was dropped...and I was actually calling my family with my new Verizon phone in my room and it got dropped or the other side could not hear me but with Cingular....everything was fine..
Maybe the grass looked greener on the other side and thank God I only signed up for 1 year..but then this is my very 1st day so I am not going to try to get a refund..maybe it was the 1st day thing..... but I like the phone a lot lot better than Cingular though.
By about this time next year, Cingular should have really cool p...

It may very well be your phone- a lot of people seem to be reporting reception problems with the 8100:

Remember, you have 15 days to return the phone and can try a different one. The Samsung 670 is a nice phone, and some people like the Motorola E815 a lot, though I personally am not a Moto fan.
