Fluctuations in Reception Quality - Trouble Ticket??

I'm in the Kansas City metro area. I just switched from the LG 4400 to the 8100. About 4-6 weeks ago, there was a noticeable decrease in signal strength in my office. I am in an inner office, on the ground level of a multi-story building. For the past year, since moving to that building, I typically had 2 - 3 bars on my 4400, and call quality was very good. I did not have a problem with call quality, dropped calls, etc.

About 4 - 6 weeks ago that changed drastically. I was only getting 1 - 2 bars on my 4400, and with the 8100 am gettin 0 - 2 bars. I am now not getting many calls, they go straight to voicemail, and those I do get I'm constantly worried they will drop, or the quality is poor.

My advice is, keep calling until you get some sort of resolution. Have someone else with the same phone test co...

Yea, the problem that you are facing is actually quite common especially with in-door reception, or lack there of. My suggestion to you is to say that you are outside when you have these problems and don’t say you are in building when that happens, because as you know carriers do not guarantee service in-doors. I would then again try to call up verizon and ask for a trouble ticker again. If that doesn’t happen, complain a lot and perhaps you can get out of your contract and then go to another carrier. I am not sure in KC what spectrum they use whether its 800 or 1.9ghz, perhaps someone can chime in, but if its 800mhz its surprising because 800 penetrates a lot better then the 1.9 does. To be having problems with 2 phone...
