Also posted in the VX-8100 forum since I'm buying it...

To the people that have V-Cast...

When connecting to V-Cast, about how long does it take? On the VX-8000 it takes 15-20 seconds just to bring up the menu. Is this faster now?

When moving around the menus once connected, is there still a slight lag between pressing the direction and the highlighted area actually moving? I know you can press the number to directly access a clip, but if it's not on the first page you can't really do that.

Has anyone thought of a convienient way to "bookmark" a certain clip that's updated daily? I'd like an easy way to get to today's headlines from CNN, or the local weather without having to click through all the other steps.

I know you can save certain videos, such as the "24" series, but I have not found a way to bookmark anything. I would really like to be able to do that for the weather report for my city.

Also, som...

I doubt old clips will ever become available again. Possibly if people try sharing them via the internet somehow though.

As far as speed - I think it depends on where you are....I just took me approx 20-25 seconds to get into vcast...then took less than 10 seconds to download the clip & start playing....I'm at work in Boston. In my house - approx 30-35 miles away I can not even get the vcast to work! It times out or won't connect at all - which is a big bummer.

I did have a "lag" but only once when I was using a get it now app....I though it was me...
