...and would it be an upgrade from my Samsung A310? May go this route if I renew with Verizon. Thinking it would be nice to have a speakerphone...thanks in advance. 🙂

Not really that much of an upgrade if at all. Have you considered maybe the Audiovox 8600? Me personally I'm not a big fan of Motorola on CDMA but the Audiovox is a nice choice with speakerphone.

I haven't heard very good reviews from actual users of the vx-4500. It does have speakerphone though. You may want to use the 15 day guarantee and try the vx-4500 and if it doesnt work out for you then go to the Audiovox 8600. Also the Kyocera SE47 has speaker as well and I know alot of people are happy with it.

The Motorola V60s is an excellent choice if you are happy with the V60 style. It has an awesome speaker phone as well as a fixed antenna so no more snapping the antenna just by playing with it.

Gah! Noooooooooooo. Do NOT get the 8600! It's speakerphone is atrocious! Bah! And as for the v60...if you're going to get a v60, you should get one that runs on Verizon's network. I've played around with it and it actually works surprisingly well on their network (and I despise Motos)...and the speakerphone is loud and clear as all hell get out.
