How to get the most out of 'New Every Two'

Hi, I am a month away from being eligable for my $100 new every two credit from verizon. I talked to a rep on the phone yesterday and she told me that when the time comes, I should be able to go to the "Upgrade Phone" section on my account on verizon's website and the credit will be reflected there. The problem is, there is a very limited selection of phones available there. And even with a $100 credit, they are still much more expensive then getting a phone with a new two year contract. So since my contract ends at the same time as this new every two, is there any way I can just do a new two year contract, get a phone for really cheap, and keep my number?

Also, if I go to a store, will I have more phones to choose from for my $100 dol...

The only reason the phones are displaying higher prices than the regular 2 year discounted pricing, is because the system validates your upgrade eligiblity date. Since you are not eligible to upgrade at this time, it is displaying full retail cost of phones. When you are eligible, those phones will reflect the 2 yr contract price minus the $100 NE2 credit.

The advantage of placing your order online is that they offer instant rebates. If you place your upgrade order over the phone or in the store, they will give you a mail in rebate to redeem in the form of a check.

The phones that display on the website should be the same phones that are available to you within a local store.

And yes, you can get a new two year contract, get a phon...

It will be free. It's a great deal going on that phone right now.

😁 The E815 is a great phone. Have had it since July 5 and no complaint except for the weak vibrate alert. Reception is great and clear as a land line phone.

BTW - I'm not a verizon employeee, just a VERY happy customer.

NE2. The policy that every indirect agent LOVES. j/k. Not making this available to the indirect channel is wrong. Someone buys their phone direct through VZW we don't make a dime. They come in and need help...sure, I will help them because I can always use referrals...but I just worked for free. How about they start telling all their customer care reps to clock out and take calls on their own time. Would they do it? But yet they think it is the only right thing to do for an independant dealer to help someone they sold...for free.

NE2...VZW should make this available for the dealers as well...

If indirect agents were able to offer NE2, the $100 could just come out of your commission. The amount we pay you to sell our service is rediculous. Signing someone up for the unlimited data paying you $75 is crazy. I work in the call center and get nothing for signing someone up for it.

NE2 is a way to get customers to go through Verizon to do their upgrades.

You think it should come out of our commissions???? You're crazy. I'd lose money! We may get a couple hundred dollars for an activation but we lose about $100 per phone so in reality we are only making around $100. That's good these days. With the $9.99 share lines it's more like maybe $75 you make.

Yeah, well I get $3 for a new line or a renewal, so I can offer the NE2 discount to entice people to do the transaction with VZW directly.

Yeah, and you also get a salary. From what I've heard commissions are pretty good.

Again, no. The most "commission" I'll ever get from a sale is $3. Three individual one dollar bills. That's it.

three one dollars bills...a place to work paid for by them...a salary or wage paid for by them...vacation time paid for by them...benefits paid for by them...etc...

If you have it so bad, work somewhere else. That's why I'm with Verizon now. So far the grass is greener, especially since the company I left just closed it's doors with no warning.

I did not say I had it so bad. You compared your 3 dollar commission with a 75 dollar commission and stated about the "rediculous" amount that VZW paid an agent. I was merely pointing out that with that 75.00 we have to pay overhead...all those listed in what VZW pays for you. Also, if the customer discos, we lose that commission. (Since we use part of the commission to discount the phone, we lose money) Do you lose money if someone disconnects? Does VZW come back and not only ask for that 3 bucks back, but 3 dollars more for good measure?

Do I have it bad? No. I am glad that I don't have the sick quotas that VZW pushes thier sales agents to have. I have a more relaxed working environment. I control every aspect of the store. ...

One thing you are forgetting. VZW gives you a paycheck...benefits...vacation...and bonuses on top that! They pay the indirect ONE commission...and we have to use most of that to discount the phone to begin with! On the NE2, if we paid out that extra 100 commission to match price we would literally LOSE money on alot of the phones. Oh yeah, we also have to pay store rent, utilities, advertising (although COOP helps some), salaries, etc. All the things that VZW does for YOU. So it is not "The amount we pay you to sell our service is rediculous" We are actually less. And WE take ALL the risk. We lose our entire commission if the customer discos before the 6 month period. We used a good part of the commission to discount the phone...a ph...
