Any truth to this???

I was in the Verizon store in Manhattan on 42nd and 6th the other day looking at phones and I heard a rep tell a customer that the Samsung a670 was discontinued when the customer pointed to it. I heard the rep tell the customer that the phone was already discontinued and that there was no stock left. The customer than asked what was going to replace it and the rep had no idea. Is there any truth to this statement?? I know this phone has been out a while and everywhere I look I see people with the phone. Would Verizon discontinue the phone and have no equivalent ready to replace it. (For example, I know Verizon is trying to get rid of the Motorola V265 so the V276 can replace it). The only other Samsung phones that I know of are the a570 and...

I work at a call center and I haven't heard anything about discontinuing the a670. We still have them in stock and are selling them.

Then again, they barely told us about the v276 before it came out...

Do you know what features the v276 will have and what it will look like. I have looked almost everywhere and I can't find anything on it.

The 276 is exactly the same as the 265 except that the paint job on the front has a silver section in the middle instead of all black. I also believe that the screen is a little bit better. I just pray that it's a better phone because the 265 sucks.

I'm sure there's been a bigger mistake somewhere down the road...the 9900 should have had a longer shelf life (maybe make the 8910 the limited edition, not many made, stop sending me a case every time I sell one, phone).

For cusotomer's who are looking for the 265 (who can pass up a BOGO?) I tell them that it's the best non-camera camera phone and will show them the LG6100 so they know what they're missing!

The 265 doesnt truly suck. Its only ok, but theres much worse phones out there (hi Audiovox).

What everyone complains about is the screen and the camera. Yea theyre not good, but the reception is, and you get trimode and speakerphone, and its cheap.

I think the real probs with the phone are that it doesnt seem to be all that durable, and the voice quality is mediocre (like a lot of Motos).

😁 Hey at least they got it right with the E815. Best reception and voice quality of any cell phone I've ever owned. Last one was a Motorola T720 and I was happy with the reception on it until the E815. BTW, my wife still has her T720 and is happy with it. (She can't have a camera phone at her job.)
