Company cell phone
Hello,
just came from europe and kinda dissapointed in US wireless industry but anyway.
My company pays for cell phone from verizon. Really old and ugly model.
I'd like to buy new one from verizon myself, for the same account and cell phone number. Old one I want to keep home and give back to my employer if i ever live the company.
I have approval from my supervisor.
How can I do that? What kind of info I need to take to verizon dealer?
BTW i'm looking for model with biggest screen, 2xxxxx colors, mp3, bluetouth, camera, video, java, not big and stylish.
Thank you!

Just give VZ the company's name, address and acct. pass code.

It depends how the account was setup. If it's a business account you'll just need the cell phone number and federal tax ID number. If it's a personal account it will take the social security number of the account holder. That's basically it.

really you should see who the authorized contact is on the account. If the business you work for is willing to extend the contract (if the account is eligible for an upgrade) then the authorized contact can purchase the phone at a discounted price. If the account is either not eligible for a discount, or the one who controls the account doesn't want to do any contract terms, then either purchase one at full retail, or look on ebay. I would stay away from "unlocked phones for any CDMA carrier" and go with one specifically for VZW. That way if there is any software upgrades to fix phone software conflicts most techs would be happy to upgrade this for you. Then just call customer care and give them the ESN off the newly purchased phone. *...
