Switching to Verizon

Ok, so I've had a contract with Sprint, AT&T, and Cingular in the past, but now I'm switching to Verizon because my boyfriend has it and we figured we'd save a lot of money not having to worry about going over our minutes thanks to in-calling.

I was wondering what everyone's opinion on verizon is. How is the call quality? Can you compare it to cingular (what I have now).

I currently have a moto V600 (which is wonderful no matter what all those nasty reviews said. It's always worked perfectly for me.) and I'd like to switch to a moto E815. Is this a good phone or are there any others that I should be looking at?

Thanks for your time 😁

Call quality and reception is going to depend on where you live. If you can give some of us a location we can give you a better idea of the quality of service you'll get.

I can't comment on the e815, because I have had no experience with it. With the potential that the v710 had with the exception of the bugs, the e815 should be a great phone. If Motorola was able to fix the problems in the v710 with the e815 I would highly reccomend going with that phone. I would wait for a few more opinions on that though, ones with personal experience to give you a better idea of what you should expect from that phone.

Hope this helps. 🙂

I live in the Bay Area (South Peninsula area) not far from you. You should get good signal nearly everywhere in San Jose.

But that's what the 15-day trial period is for... making sure. 🙂

thanks for the info 🙂

But no matter what anyone says I'm going to have to get verizon, or else my boyfriend and I will continue to get yelled at for overage charges on our cell bills... I just wanted to know what I was getting into haha

You're going to be in heaven. You won't believe the difference and will wonder why you didn't switch sooner!

So far I've heard good things about the E815.

I got my phone and service yesterday, so far so good. I had a dropped call earlier this morning when I was talking to customer service, but thats ok as long as its not the majority of calls.

The phone is great so far. I've been playing around with it non stop and the battery life seems pretty solid so far.
