SMS Delivery Receipt on CDMA?
So, I just moved over to Verizon from a GSM carrier and the ONE thing I really miss is the ability to get a delivery receipt when I send a txt message to someone. Does Verizon offer this service? I had a Sony Ericsson T6xx model phone and there was an option in the messageing section on enabling a delivery receipt. This is a great feature because you can tell if someone has their phone on or not by sending them a txt msg.

If the person receiving your message is on Verizon then you can tell. Each phone displays it a little differently. I don't recall right off how it looks either. If you look at your sent messages right after you send it, then look again a few seconds later it will show delivered. I know on my BlackBerry there is a little D that gets displayed beside the checkmark. Other phones show it a little differently.

Cool... I see that, but I wish it worked across carriers... The GSM version does.

On most phones after you send a text message you can check your sent folder or your outbox and there should be an indicator telling you the status of the message.
