Also lets not forget that Nextel is going to be converted over to CDMA. Thats what, another 17 million going to CDMA in the US?

Seriously, its a bit of wishful thinking to believe that most of the Nextelers are going to jump ship. Theres always problems with transitions (look at all the ATTers leaving cingular) but nextel has had one of the lowest churn rates in the industry for awhile, they seem to be able to keep their customers happy and on-board.

Actually the iDEN network is staying as it is - atleast through 2010. Too many Direct Connect centric users rely on it.

Ive heard the transition will be a bit earlier than that, but either way eventually they will be brought on over to CDMA.
