Another retarded customer story
I just had a customer tell me that if I didn't give him a $5 credit every month for the rest of his life, he was leaving and going to T-Mobile where he can get 1000 mins for the same as what he is paying for 500 mins. When I tried to help him by telling him that the T-Mobile plan he was looking at doesn't have Night and Weekend mins, he wanted to argue with me when I was looking at the website. What is the big deal about the $5 credit and if he was so convinced he would get twice the mins and unlimited nights and weekends, why did he stay. This is just another example of how customers think they can call and bully us in Customer Service and we're going to give them whatever they want to keep them happy. If he wants to leave, hope the doo...

these are the people we try to filter out and leave to the mediocre carriers.
if a customer is a total leeching a-hole, i have no intention of trying to keep you around, so peace out.
but if a customer is being polite and understanding, then I will be willing to help and offer a little somethin maybe- just like every other rep on here, we are human and have emotions.

Easy on the "retard" name calling. That is childish. Here is what I say..(I had the same scenerio). "Would you pay the same rate for a Toyota Camry as a Lexus LS300? They are both the same look of a car." To which a customer would say, "But one is a Lexus and one is a Camry." I say, "My point exactly..." Of course thinking that we are actually comparing a Cavalier with a LS300 in a more real comparison given the extreme quality difference between T-Mobile and VZW.

Maybe retarded is a little strong, but unreasonable definitely works. Bottom line, if you think you can do better, then go for it. How many customers out there have been with us for 5, 10, 15 years or more and are happy to pay whatever for a service that they know will work when they need it. I work for Verizon, but I use Alltel. I prefer Alltel because it works best in my area, but Verizon would be my second choice. If I did any kind of traveling out of my area, I would be on Verizon in a heartbeat because I know it works. I have seen the other maps and I know what's out there. If T-Mobile will work better for him in his area and have the mins for a price he like, more power to him, but I am not going to pay him $60 a year to stay wi...

There was for a very very short time 1000 minutes with unlimited night and weekend minutes for 39.99. My sis was just able to switch to it before it was over.
