Retarded Verizon Rep stories.

well, Verizon Reps have started a forum about retarded customers, I think it fair that we start one for retarded reps, as I know they have a boat load of them also...share away....

there are some retarded reps, but if u look at the number of retarded reps in ratio to the total number of eomployees we have(about 55000) and make it a percentage, its MUCH smaller, then the number of retarded customers ve as a percentage of the total number of custs we have(47.4 million).

well, if that is the case, it is more then likely because the customers are getting wrong information from the retarded reps that dont know their job.. 🤣

We can go on and on forever on retarded reps and customers, but, the reps showed no respect when they posted the retard customer forum, so, I thought it only be fair for the customers to join in and tell their stories of the reps. All in all, I wish the moderator would just pull both forums, the first one should never have been started in the first place.

The bottome line is this, the customers may be retarded, so what...if it wasnt for the retarded customers, there would be more then 55,000 people looking for a job. As they say in my profession, the customer is why we are he...

Why are we using the term retard so loosely to begin with. My girlfriend works with challenged people at our local middle school. She would s**t a brick if she knew the word was being used so frequently when talking about misinformed customers or sales reps. I could care less, but I think we should be a little more cautious of the words we use. For one day you too may have a physically or mentally challenged child, then maybe the word would hit home a little harder.

I dont like using that word either, I was just following what was said in the other thread. I appologize for using that word, you are correct, it should not be used so freely. I will try to do better in the future.

Wow taking that a little personal. I think the retarded customer leans a little more towards complete retardation, such as customers that don't know how to turn there phone or that didn't realize you have to charge it and so on and so on. I don't think it is aimed at our everyday customer but i have ran into a few scenarios over the years where i have had to walk in the back becasue i didn't want to laugh. I do not really see much of a point in starting a retarded rep forum since we see countless refrences on this forum bashing verizon and their employees all the time!!

We should change the retard word into cellphone challenged, i could see why people would get ticked about that word even though this just a forum.

I wouldnt be worried about people getting ticked, its just a harsh word. It can be used as a comical device (napolean dynamite is hilarious) but at the same time theres other words that are more appropriate.

as a cell phone co rep who would never refer to a customer as a ****** I would only like to say that both parties needs to maybe find a level medium between customer service reps and customers. When a customer calls in expecting something it is not always clear to the rep. What the rep hears you ask may not always be was is the true question. Patience and more clairily is what is needed.

I had a customer last week try to pull that when the charging port was totally green from corrosion and the water mark was red, I showed the customer and they still swore it had never been wet, then i took the phone apart to see the extent of the damage and water actually dripped out all of the counter, then th...

at least the toilet could have been flushed first and only gotten toilet water on the phone. My friend had a situation where he told the customer she had water damage and the customer goes "Oh, that's because my 3yo daughter peed on it" ... SICK! Why do they let you touch that thing?

I had a customer bring in a cell phone that was wrapped in a plastic bag. I started to take it out of the bag to which the young lady says, "I wouldn't do that if I were you..." I ask why, "Because that just came out the filter on the waste removal from the MEAT PACKAGING PLANT!!!" Yes, it was full of blood. After another minute the odor started to knock me out! We called and filed the insurance claim and LockLine wanted the phone back...ooookkkaaayyy! LOL I would hate to be that person opening that box!

This same young lady, (very pretty, a farmers daughter), she being their go for all the time, brought in another one that the worker dropped and a cow stepped on it...and the cow patty it dropped in...LOL. She brought that one in ...

Quote "well actually there are a few other words, moron, idiot, braindead loser, s**t for brains, stupid etc."

Then use the "other" words...

But I had a customer today that brought in a phone that reception was dropping on the second you press send to make a call. I took the back door cover off and the battery is crushed...the back door had a crack in it also...and one of the metal shields on the circuit board was completely crushed. After showing that to the customer I got a, "Well, I didn't do anything so it must have came like that." I brought to his attention that the phone worked up until about 3 weeks ago...so if it was always like that, obviously it would have had the same problems over the 6 months he has had the phone. I s...

sometimes the only level they understand is their own, talking to them like a mature adult gets you no where, you literally have to talk to them like they are 7 year olds and only then when u treat them like a child do they understand.

woman called yesterday upset that her secondary phone couldn't send or receive calls. the phone had been inactive for so long that it was completely removed from our switch records. so i rebuilt the customer's line of service and told her she was good to go.

customer was calling me from seattle and the phone was in portland. i reminded her that her second phone was still inactive in our switch until it made an outbound call. if she called it she would get a voicemail unless an outbound call on the phone was made. if any further problems come up, have the user call us from portland from a second line as we can't troubleshoot without the phone, etc....

now i've mentioned the phone's going to go to voicemail AT LEAST five times now and sh...

My point was just made on this forum, LOL...This forum was to be about reps, yet the reps posted about customers on here instead of the one that was made for that reason, and now we know why us customers have to call in all the time to make sure changes were made to our accounts, they cant even post in the right forum, how can we expect them to know how to do their jobs.. 🤣 😡

My hats off to the customers, you did as I expected. I started this thread because I knew the customers were smart enough not to post. The customers win on this one, they showed more dignity, respect then the reps did.

And now, we will watch the reps come on and say the customers were to dumb to post, ect., ect.. They wont even be smart enough to drop...

Its silly to think that EITHER reps or customers have any kind of monopoly on 'dumb'.

As humans we are all 'dumb' on occasion, and we need to show more understanding and less condescension towards one another. 😎

Hey Geaorgia1? Can I ask you a favor? Do you mind staying away from verizon wireless once your contract expires? I think you should port your number(s) out to some other carrie like Cingular and enjoy the best customer service in the nation. LOL... You're a joke. If I owned verizon wireless I would start a database of retards in order to forbid their return to my company once they realized how GREAT the other companies really are. Guess who'd be on top of the list?
