That would be AWESOME. It was a very poor move in my opinion. A lot of light users don't want to pay $69.99 a month for two phones. Especially elderly couples.

I think that the 69.99 is great. Makes for a better paycheck. I have only lost one sale because we did not have a 59.99 plan, and more than likely a customer that cheap would have opted for t mobile any way. Many customers realize that you get what you pay for.

That better paycheck would be nice, but they are paying us the same for the 69.99 as they did for the 59.99. So I still wish we had the 59.99 for those customers who won't use it very much. Then its also easier to upsell to the next plan because 500 minutes may not be enough for a family plan, but for most of our customers 700 is plenty.

In a recent email it was said that the average customer uses 670 minutes a month. So I think the 700 minute plan is just right for a two phone household. I beg and plead with customers that have 3 or 4 phones and think that they can have a 700 min plan and it will be fine. I flat out tell them that I have seen it time and time again families that think its enough and end up with a $500+ bill. But I warned them. But hey we'll take the overage fees, we're in the business to make a profit.

I have three phones (used to have four) on a family share and we never come close to using 500 anytime minutes. I have a spread sheet of our usage from the past three years and our average anytime usage this year (2005) is 120 minutes total per month between the three phones.

Our M2M however averages around 850 minutes per month but that doesn't matter because those are non billed minutes, our Off Peak usually is no more than 10 minutes and our Weekend minutes usually end up around 60 or so.

Nope....One phone is for my 70 something year old parents, who as you might imagine are not cell phone users (that generation is not into cell phones like everyone under 40 is), it's just for emergencies. At 9.99/mo plus taxes (totals 13.15/mo) it's cheap safety net for them when traveling etc.

The other is for my stay at home wife who uses a landline when visiting with friends and calls me on my cellphone from her cellphone so that's M2M.

Leaving me with the other phone that I use no more than 120-150 minutes a month plus 500 or M2M minutes talk to the wife and people at work who all have Verizon phones.

Plus we don't give out our cell phone numbers to everyone in the universe, that way we control who calls us etc.

my parents have the 55 dollar share plan if you remember them! they sahre 300 minutes and both get 250 mobile to mobile. they have never went over their minutes over the past 2 1/2 years, people like that is why the 59.99 plan would be nice. I think verizon should come out with a cheaper one and just not list it in the promo brochures and maybe limit in calling or something. kinda of like the 35 ac plan, we don't promote it but we have for those users that don't need much
