Whats with Verizon?

I went into a Verizon store to get information on a BT phone becasue I want to use it like I use my Sony and Motorola. With those phones I can drag and drop my pictures to my Laptop as well as text files and the like from the extra memory slot. I kind of use the 220 as a USB Flash.

So the guy tells me I can't do that with the Moto 710 or even the new Razor (which is a total waste without the ability to transfer the MP Pictures)

He says I can buy an unlocked 710 and activate with Verizon and have all the BT features. Is that right?
People have asked me why I pay for both Verizon and Cingular phone service. Well there ya go.

I was told by a Verizon rep I can buy an "unlocked" V710 with all it's BT features enabled as Motorola designed it. Only the phones made for Verizon are made with less than BT features per Verizon's order. I did not know you can buy "unlocked" Verizon phones like Cingular phones.

I believe that guy told you wrong. The V710 was made for the carriers, but I believe do to new rules implemented you can't use any phone not 100 percent completely branded by Verizon, others will say I'm wrong. All I can tell you with 100 percent certainty is that you can enable object push on the E815.

Well I'm not going to take a chance. I'll use my Cingular phone and service for that side of things. I will end up onlly using my Verizon service when I cannot use Cingular due to the Verizon rules.
Now I know why so many here claim Verizon "rules" 🤣

Your sarcasm has a note of truth in my case.
That is what the Verizon phone on my service has come down to.Plain old Phone calls when I cannot use Cingular. I use my Cingular phone for everything else as their digital Internet service area is huge compared to Verizon and I do not need to use my limited daytime minutes for Internet usage and can make or receive a call while browsing. Many believe Verizon has all the data bases covered but having both and travelling extensively , I have to say Cingular is a better choice for "extended" service that go beyond " just making a phone call " Now if they had more rural areas covered in the so...
