Upgrading Phone

In theory though. Right now all you would qualify for is 25 percent off retail with a 2 year extension IF your phone is inoperable. But that is not much of a deal considering in a few months you should be able to get a good discount off the retail price. I as an agent would just provide you with a loaner phone to get you through until the date that you can upgrad...

This answer actually depends on what price plan you're on. If you're on a $59.99 or higher price plan, and been on it for at least 3 months then you CAN do an early upgrade. The upgrade will be processed just as if you were within two months and actually eligible.
If you are not on at least a $59.99 price plan then chances are you are stuck. You're going to have to wait until November (2 months before your contract ends) or pay the full retail price. The 25% off that the other person mentioned could also be a possibility but would have to be done directly with Verizon either over the phone or at a direct store. An Indirect Agent won't be able to do that.
