lost my phone
and it seems i can not use my cdm-9100 or a friends vx-10 so it seems like i will need to buy one...
i am looking for the cheapest alternative since at the current time money is quite scarce...
can someone please give me some suggestions, and if possible where i can buy one

Only warning. Do not purchase a phone thats says, "For Alltel but can be used for Verizon Wireless" or something like that. If you have software issues, no Verizon Wireless tech will take care of that phone. Also, make sure it is GPS enable. This is mandated. A couple phones you should be able to pick up rather cheap:
Kyocera 2325
Motorola V120e
Nokia 3589 or 6015
LG VX3100/3200/4400/6000 (flip phones)
That should give you enough to find something decent. All you have to do is get through until you are eligible for a discount towards a new phone.

just go into a vew verizon stores, have a hissy fity like most custoemrs and demand we give you a free phone because its somehow our fault that u lost it, try it in enough stores and eventually 1 of the managers will give u some type of discount.

customer care will give you 25% off the retail for a phone if you call them and ask, you will save between 30-80 nucks depending on what phone you purchase, it is not much but it helps
