Switch to Verizon and save .85

Found this in the Cingular brocure figured I'd share it "Cingular also imposes the following charges: a regulatory cost recovery charge of up to$1.25 to help defray its costs incurred in complying with obligations and charges imposed by state and federal telecom regulations, a gross recipts surcharge, and state and federal universal charges. These are not taxes or government-required charges" It seems to me Vzw was trying not charge their customers unneccesary fees until they had choice, while on the other hand cingy has been doing it for years $1.25-.40=.85.

OMG, you actually look into all of that just for those ppl complaing over .40. Those who complain about an extra .40 need to leave verizon. And you might need a new hobby just for trying to fine something wrong with cingular now that you can jump on them...

The "up to" fee varies by market. In mine it totals 56 cents.

thats one of the things that makes no sense for people trying to get out of their contracts. vzw still has the lowest admin fee of the big carriers. so people get mad that vzw adds an admin fee so they switch to another carrier that already has one and its more! the fact that people complain over .40 is ridiculous.

You want another reason to switch, keep reading the back of the brochure. It states that if more than 50% of your service over a 3 month period is NOT on the Cingular network they reserve the right to cancel your service. I thought only regional carriers did this.

And before anyone jumps on me for this I know it says RESERVES THE RIGHT and that means that they may NOT do that but it also means that they MAY do that.

After seeing this I re-read the VZW terms and conditions and this is no where in there.

boy, if verizon ever came out with that 50% rule, there really is no need for a national carrier, a guy could go with a company such as USCC and have good service and some perks such as the 7 night weekends, and unlimited incoming calls.
