I am on my 3rd treo 650 and it doesn't get any better. I cant find a bluetooth headset that works with the 650. Ok I found some that say they are compatible, IE:JABRA BT250, motorola I cant remember the number,I even tried the palm version of the bluetooth headset.Yes you can say they work and are compatible if you can live with constant static, enough static that you cant hear the other person speak. I have called Jabra, Motorola, and Palm nobody is willing to step up to the plate and offer any help!!! I know have a drawer full of bluetooth headsets that are worthless.
I have also had issues with the phone resetting, I can be in the middle of a call and the phone resets itself!!! I spoke again with palm and Verizon, and netiher could offer any help, Though I respect Verizon for trying, they tried harder than Palm, Verizon must realize that there is a problem out there, they send me new phones not refurbished units will after the 15 day limit, I am on my 3rd treo 650 this after 2 months. All 3 units had the same issue is this a software glitch? Now the 3rd unit after having it for only 3 weeks has the same problems but now the paint is peeling off .
Does anybody out there know of a PDA(bluetooth, speakerphone required) that actually works?
If I ave to change carriers and pay the 200.00 buck I will. I spend on avg 200.00 a month with verizon, so the termination fee is a small amount to cover for a working unit.
I would not recommend the PALM TREO to anybody in the business world.
Any help out there?
Thanks

the resetting issue is easily fixed. if u had previous palm s/w on ur computer and u put ur old data on ur new phone thats why it is freezing up and resetting. theres a certain way u have to back up ur old data. another possibility is that the cellebrite app is still in ur menu. the vzw rep should have erased it after he transferred ur #s as it also causes resets. last possiblity is u dont have the 1.3 s/w version. as for static havent had any issues with the treos ive used with the mot 850 bt headset.

Just because you've had bad luck doesn't mean it's a bad phone. I have a Palm Treo 650 myself and have great luck with it.
Be careful. It's actually probably 3rd party software on the Treo that is causing it to freeze and reset itself. Do a hard reset on the phone, erase all info and put it back to the factory settings. Then, see how it works for a couple of days. Start adding software back on one by one and see which one is causing the problem.

When you call technical support for the advanced data devices, they should walk you through some programming that will determine when the last time the software crashed and reset and what application caused that. I know you can do it on the Treo 600, when I had mine they told me how to do it but I forgot, sorry.
Secondly, the Bluetooth headset issue your describing I haven't had any one else come to me with, and I sell a lot of the 650's so I don't have any reasonable explanantion or advice to trouble shoot. As another poster already said, there's a good chance it's something in your software, especially if it's happened on 3 different models. I know when the phone was first released there were a lot of software bugs, but I haven't come ...

Yeah none of my business customers have anycomplaints... well the only complaints I get is customer caused by third party software ect. Just make sure you are backing up your data right ect. Check out the palm forums on thier website also that is a big help. I have had (0) ZERO complaints with the BT headsets, but I only sell the motorola ones because they seem to have better range than the jabras.... Good Luck hope you no longer have any problems .... check out the I730 if you can't stand the palm, the only bad thing is that it uses windows mobile....

Thanks to all the replies. I have tried all suggestions and the resetting seems to be fixed, Though the Bluetooth headset issue is still there, do you know of a headset that truely works? What about reception, I only get at a max 2 bars any suggestions on that?
Should I hold out for the new Palm/Verizon/Mobile that is being introduced on Monday?
