Tech Help - Can't Activate Phone On-line.
I picked up a new phone Wednesday. My wife was eligible for NE2, but she's not a gadget fanatic and was happy with her old phone. I have the 8100, so just picked up another 8100 "for her". I figured I could drop the $4.99/month insurance, and keep the new, free, 8100 for a back-up in case something happens to my phone.
The rep at the store understood what I wanted, and when I left the store he said the new phone was not activated, but that I could do so anytime on-line.

evdo phones are not changeable at this time on line.even if you have say a lg8100 and moto e815.you wont be able to change on line.will have to call csr.to get it changed.but try onkine before calling the number it gives you online when it wont change.that way they wont try to charge you 15.00 fee to change esn.

Thanks for the quick response. If I walked into a VZW store to get the change, as opposed to calling CS 800#, would they still try to charge the ESN change fee?
...
They shouldn't charge you. My store never charges for anything like that.
The problem is with the Premium Network Access feature. It won't work online because that feature is required for an EVDO phone but yet isn't auto populated when attempting the ESN change. I can't even do them at my store through our system, we have to call as well.

Okay. Thanks for your answer.
