To VZW Agents & Customers from Customer Care

ManOfTruth

I work in the Customer Care Dept for Verizon Wireless and there are a few things I need to get off my chest.

(1)If you signed up for MyAccount in order to get the $20 credit on your bill, I must mind you that it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles for this credit to appear on your bill.

(2)If you return equipment to VZW through Fedex, please be sure to keep your tracking number. If the package comes up missing and you are charged for not returning the equipment, there is nothing VZW can do without the tracking number.

(3)Cusromer Care cannot credit you for returned equipment. Only the warehouse can credit you for equipment when they recieve the equipment. Customer Care can be submit a request for you to be credited for the equipment but it ...

1. OK
2. Good advice...
3. Again...make sense.
4. Blah. In the area we live there hasn't been a tower added in a year and a half, yet dropped calls still exist. The whole "*228" is overrated. We live in a seam between 2 towers and sometimes the network will push a call to a tower that is 6 miles away to save space on the one that is right over the town. When this happens...the call 9 times out of 10 drops. Documented fact. Has nothing to do with *228.
5. Also remind that any plan change unless made to a plan that does not include night and weekends or mobile to mobile will extend your contract also.
6. So if I call in and get a rep that is unwilling to do anything, I must go through 10 minutes of re-explaining the situation before...

It doesn't always only deal with new towers. If the customer changed plans then *228 is also important. It could greatly affect their roaming indicator.

7. A secondary line is eligible for an upgrade also. If it is 22 months from the original purchase date, that line is eligible for a new phone at the promotional price. And why coul...

(7)In order to be eligible to recieve an upgrade you must be on a calling plan of $35.99 or higher. Only the primary line in a family share plan will be eligible be eligible for the New Every Two discount. WE CAN NOT MOVE YOUR ELIGIBILTY DATE UP.

So in that statement he clearly stated the line must be on a plan 35.99 or higher (not true, the 34.99 plan also qualifies) and the secondary lines do qualify for the upgrade pricing. So read it again. Yes, the latter part of this does say that only the primary line qualifies for the NE2...yes, that would be a given. Since they now are only getting 10 bucks a month revenue on secondaries, how could they offer an extra 100 off those lines?

Not exactly.

You'd need to specify the area - it depends upon the market - West & Midwest there is no such M&P stating that refurbs are not to be used for Lost/St

ok seems to be a lot of confusion. an out of warranty replacement is 50, and thats if the phone has no physical or liquid damage. the 70 dollar replacement is ONLY for lost or stolen phones when the cust has no insurance or isnt elignle for early or regular upgrade. secodnary lines dont get ne2, they get contract discounts. ne2 CANT be pushed foward anymore than 2 weeks at maximum if the situation warrants it. contract pricing upgrades can be pushed foward much more. selling of refurb phones for any situation is clearly against policy and it can get you fired, ive seen it happen before.

vzw has a flatly stated rule for any situation u can think of, but due to circumstances their will always be exceptions, its up to best judgement to...

Look I can make a list too:

1. The customer is always right.

2. Somebody needs a hug.

3. Get a new job if you can't deal with retarded customers who can't read.

4. Mobile phone service was the second-lowest ranked industry -- beating only cable providers among the 40 rated -- in the University of Michigan's newest customer satisfaction index. - src: CBS News 2004

5. And there's more: mobile companies were the No. 2 sector in complaints last year to Better Business Bureaus, dropping from first place in 2002. Only auto dealers did worse. - src: CBS News 2004

6. How about changing your 611 phone number to "customer don't care."

7. Hey, look on the bright side, at least you beat out the cable guy and the used car sal...

Wow, that is sad you have to complain about your job on a message board. It's not gonna help, no matter what job you have your gonna have crappy customers. The only reason I am at my job is because I get FAT discounts. What do they give you, 10% off? Sad, I'd quit.

Since when is anyone complaining, I have never once come on here and complained about my current position. As a matter of fact I get paid a very hefty SALARY, with an amazing commission structure, and I pay nothing for my phone line or any equipment I want to use. I work for an indirect VZW agent in Chicago. If you know anything about pay scale then you will know that Chicago has one of the best ones in the country. I actually like my job. And these are not the only reasons I am at my job.

I've been lurking a while and registered just so I could debunk some of this garbage. Nothing pisses me off more than lazy reps.

I don't want to get into too many details, but this is not always true. Likely, the poster knows it and is just saying so because equipment discounts freak him out. I'm not saying it's common for us to do this or anything, but yes it does happen every now and then that we need to do so.

I don't know what you're talking about but a lot of the things that you say don't exist, DO exist. For one, Local Digital Choice is gone, at least here in the Midwest.

Really. Out West, it's still very much here. It's not very popular because of the lower prices now of the America's Choice plans, but it's still here. Maybe you're thinking of SingleRate?

Anyway, even if you don't have it in the Midwest, the fact that it still exists in the West is reason enough not to get pissy with a customer who asks for it.
