Please help with new phone choices
I am not even one-year into a two year contract and my Samsung 610 broke.
I want a phone that has bluetooth and speaker phone and I'll be happy. Verizon Stores want $400 for a phone with those features! I found some online, on ebay, etc. that are around $200, but I don't know if they'll work.
They all say that they will work with the Verizon Network, but how do I know for sure? Also, what's the difference b/t a locked and an unlocked phone? How do I get on that is locked, unlocked?
Finally, if I buy one from OTHER than Verizon, how do I activate it?
Thanks for all of your help!

I've gotten lots of phones off Ebay-never had a problem. Number one, make sure they have all positive feedback and read what others say about the seller. ASK QUESTIONS!!!!! Scratches, lifetime minutes of use, screen in good condition, etc. Also, you have to make positively sure it's a Verizon phone. Ask the seller if it was previously on the Verizon network and ask for the ESN number then call Verizon and make sure it's compatable and that the phone is okay and not reported stolen. You can go on line to have the phone activated or call Verizon.

Any suggestions on a phone that has bluetooth capabilities, and a speaker phone?

There's a lot of choices... LG 8100, LG 9800, Motorola E815, Samsung 970, the upcoming Nokia 6256i (due out 10/23 at Best Buy), plus a number of PDA/smartphones.
It really depends on what else you're looking for.

Other than bluetooth and speaker phone, that's about it. Of course the phone has to be able to store a ton of numbers, have a calendar, etc. But I don't need the camera option, the ability to play MP3's, etc.
Suggestions based on that additional information? Also, where can I buy these phones, the cheapest, without a contract?
Thanks!
