😕
I'm interviewing for a job with Verizon tommorrow and I was just looking for some feedback. I'm looking for either a Retail Management, Indirect Account Management or Buisness to Buisness postion. If anyone could give me any feedback as to what its like working for verizon, what kind of training, how compensation works, benefits and overall job satisfaction with this company is, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

verizon is one of the top companies to work for in the nation.

the only people who dislike working there for the most part are those on the frontlines.

stay business to business and you're golden.

Hmm. I work in 800 Inbound and yet I still enjoy my job... at every level, it seems like this company goes out of its way to make sure its employees are taken care of. The pay is generally good, benefits are solid throughout, it's consistently given awards like "Best Place For A Working Mother". Good luck on the new gig!

Beware of the indirect channel. Verizon Wireless is really shafting them lately. So your indirect agents are not the happiest of people right now. They keep cutting commissions, selling phones cheaper without helping agents, etc. They have program such as the New Every Two that they refuse to make available for an agent to offer. If someone comes in to an agent's location and the customer states they get a discount through their employer, the indirect agent is not allowed to sell them. Lets just say the indirect channel is the black sheep of Verizon W...

I love working for Verizon, to be honest. My department works with internet activations, sales support for the B2B team, employee discounts and corporate accounts. I get great health and employment benefits, my supervisors work with me on a LOT of scheduling issues (I'm 8 months pregnant and never had a problem with missing work for a Dr appt or if I wasn't feeling well), and honestly they do a lot for their employees. Customer service positions are totally different but since I'm not technically a CSR I'm content 😉

Honestly, there's a lot of room for advancement within the company, there's annual pay raises, there's an annual bonus, and everyone is really down to earth. I recommend this company to anyone qualified for it.
