Working for Verizon
I'm interviewing for a job with Verizon tommorrow and I was just looking for some feedback. I'm looking for either a Retail Management, Indirect Account Management or Buisness to Buisness postion. If anyone could give me any feedback as to what its like working for verizon, what kind of training, how compensation works, benefits and overall job satisfaction with this company is, I'd really appreciate it. Beware of the indirect channel. Verizon Wireless is really shafting them lately. So your indirect agents are not the happiest of people right now. They keep cutting commissions, selling phones cheaper without helping agents, etc. They have program such as the New Every Two that they refuse to make available for an agent to offer. If someone comes in to an agent's location and the customer states they get a discount through their employer, the indirect agent is not allowed to sell them. Honestly, there's a lot of room for advancement within the company, there's annual pay raises, there's an annual bonus, and everyone is really down to earth. I recommend this company to anyone qualified for it.
