okay i just got off the phone with customer service and they told me that they stopped carrying this phone because so many people complained. they complained about low signal strenght all the time, calls would go straight to voicemail even if they were in service, tons of dropped calls, and things of that nature. so if you have any problems with your a670 i would go to your nearest store and demand a new phone. if verizon wireless took this phone off the market becuase it wasnt working properly chances are you phone doesnt work properly! if you dont live near a store you can do this through customer service just call and they will assist you!

im going into complain tommorow and hopefully ill get a new phone 🙂

just a useful piece of i...

The person you spoke with was a real idiot. The Samsung 670 was one of the top performing phones that VZW was offering. It is discontinued because it was old. The phone was available for sale for over a year (more like 16-18 months)!!! That is a very long time in cell phone terms. A phone does not stay on the shelf that long unless it is a very good phone.
I personally have been using the 670 for almost a year now and it gets reception everywhere, better than all of my other phones (Treo 600, Blackberry 7250, Lg 4500, Moto 120e).
I would waste your time and energy demanding a new phone because if you came into my store I would hear you out and than tell you that you were crazy, and that customer service rep you spoke with was a t...

Same here. Anyone demanding things isn't going to get very far with me. All they'll receive in return is an attitude! 🙂

I've read the others and must concur. The rep you spoke with was dead wrong. The a670 is one of the top phones VZW ever offered and has had very few complaints. Once again, the longevity of the phone is testamony to the quality of the product. When most are being replaced as soon as they are hitting the shelves, this phone stood through it all. I loved selling that phone because I had almost ZERO complaints from the customers that bought the phone. The a850 is the replacement...which is available (and I am selling).

So in other words, you were lied to. It is a shame and has created this situation. Also, do not take this out on a store rep who will be giving you ACCURATE information. BTW, my wife has had this phone for a year now ...
