Man, verizon can take a good looking phone (sam sch 950) and make it look like shi*! Why make this phone w/ a red face plate and the 8100 w/ a blue face plate? Now i understand some people may like the way they look but my point is I bet there are more people that do not buy these two phone b/c of their color then there are people that buy the phone for their color. So using that theory, why wouldnt they release both phones in silver or black instead of making them look like rainbows. This phone had potential but red and a pretty much nonexistant vibrate strength have made me keep my outdated and struggling lg 6000. VERIZON, will you please make a good small reliable phone that does not look like it came out of a cereal box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I hate them too. Damn them for giving me a great phone for free (when my previous phone broke), and Damn them for providing a very reliable network.

And most of all, Damn them for having 3G before anyone else.

Humph!!!! 👿 😳 😎

I agree with buddha...I have wanted a black phone forever! All any companies are putting out is gray phones...I wont touch the a950 because of the red and the same goes for the blue lg 8100....Keep it simple verizon, or offer phones with changeable face plates so that the CONSUMER can pick an appropriate color...just my 2 cents

If you want a basic phone in black, gray or silver, then look at all the phones we have other than the LG 8100, Samsung 950 or LG 5200.

The Motorola E815 has been a fantastic phone for me. As for black, check out the Samsung a850. For gray or silver, Samsung a670 or the LG 7000.

Yep. In all of six cities.

Meanwhile, VZW has 3G serving 140 million people. 🙂

Yeah, and that was so beneficial to their customers. It served a total of 6 markets. That was a wonderful nationwide deployment. 🙄

Would you rather Verizon do like Sprint did and release it before it was truly ready and end up with all sorts of problems? I have a friend that did all sorts of testing of 3G for Sprint in California. He just had to laugh because of all the problems that occurred. 3G didn't work anywhere they tested it.

Instead, Verizon tested it and ensured that it would work before releasing it limited areas to see how consumers would respond to it and make sure that everything would work.

Pesonally, I think the way Verizon did it was extremely smart: make sure it works and see how consumers like it before spending billions of dollars on it.
